Supporters of TDP and Kodali Nani clash Police disperse warring groups; Nani detained

GUDIVADAGudivada (Krishna): The Vastunna Meekosam padayatra of the Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu turned tense in the town on Tuesday with the supporters of the TD and the sitting MLA Kodali Nani coming to blows. The police had tough time in clearing the warring groups and bringing situation under control. The police have detained the legislator in his theater for a couple of hours as Chandrababu Naidu’s yatra moved.

It all began with the enthusiastic youth of the Telugu Desam taking out a motor cycle rally ahead of Chandrababu Naidu’s yatra. The youth conducted the rally on the road leading to Kodali Nani’s theater and have stopped in front of the theater.

The youth made several rounds on their bikes provoking Nani to come out and hit at one of them. The TD youth too have returned the fight leading to tension in the area.

Meanwhile, the followers of Nani entered the scene and clashed with the TD counterparts. The police, on learning about the incident, rushed to the spot and cleared both the warring groups.

They have also detained the legislator in his theater allowing Chandrababu Naidu to walk peacefully on the street.

Meanwhile, the TD leader and film hero N Balakrishna, who was here for two days touring his parental villages, left for Hyderabad. He took part in Chandrababu Naidu’s padayatra and held several rounds of interactive sessions with the youth, farmers and elders from Nimmakuru, Komaravolu and other areas.

His stay for two days had given a new lease of life for the TD and helped Chandrababu Naidu to have more people walking with him in the yatra.

Raavi-Nani wordy duel intensifies in Gudivada

Gudivada: The war of words between arch rivals Raavi Venkateswara Rao of the Telugu Desam Party and Kodali Nani of the YSRCP has intensified with Raavi blasting Nani at a media conference at local party office on Monday.

Terming Nani as a novice in politics, he accused him of adopting the policy of divide and rule to gain political mileage. He said Nani was trying to create rift in Nandamuri clan, obviously referring to junior NTR versus others in the family.

Claiming that he has been paying Income Tax from the age of 18 years, he wondered whether Nani has any idea of Income Tax even now. He asked Nani from where was he getting crores of rupees he was spending in elections. He also accused him of blackmailing liquor shop owners and making Rs. 1 crore in the past.

He also warned of retaliation if TDP activists were threatened by Nani supporters.

Turning to upcoming general elections where he is likely to be pitted against Nani in Gudivada Assembly segment, Venkateswara Rao said it would be great if Nani gets deposits in the election. Party state Secretary Lanka Dasari Prasada Rao, former ZPTC Katuri John Samuel, former MPP Gutta Sivaramakrishna, party leaders Bethanapalli Nageswara Rao, Kamineni Sriramakrishana Prasad, Ghanta Balaji among others participated.

Earlier addressing the constituency level party activists gathering at the party office, Raavi called upon the party cadre to rededicate themselves to the party and work hard to bring the party back to power in the next elections.
He said the State can be brought back on rails in all spheres of development only under the Telugu Desam rule.

Harikrishna, Jr.NTR likely skip meeting

Harikrishna, Jr.NTR and Kalyan Ram seems decided to stay away from the prestigious concluding public meeting to be held at Vizag city in a short while from now. So far, Balakrishna and his son-in-law Lokesh have arrived at Vizag and joins Chandrababu in unveiling of pylon at Shivaji Nagar in the outskirts of the city. Party leaders’ efforts to rope-in Harikrishna and his sons seem to be failed as they have not received any confirmation message from them about their arrival to meeting. There were speculations in media that Harikrishna is fuming on the party for not adding his and his sons’ photos in the party banners. So he has preferred to skip the meeting. According to first hand report from our sources, there was hardly a single banner in the city that has Harikrishna’s photo. This will be nothing but drawing a clear line between Harikrishna and the party. Obviously, it gives way to further speculations about their disputes and provide an instrument to their rivals to poke them both.

Modi campaigns for BJP in Karnataka

BJP has been hesitating to name Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate, because its key ally JDU in NDA coalition is opposing his leadership. Hence, it even can’t dare to use his services in Karnataka elections until now, only because of this fear only. But, at last BJP seems has gathered some courage and sent him to Karnataka just before end of the campaigning period.

Modi as usually takes upon his favorite targets Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi in his elections campaigning held at Bangalore south on yesterday. “While the mother is stating ‘power is poison’, the son is asking ‘give us power’. Whom do we believe? Is he disobeying his mother or is he dishonest with his own ideology that he is revealing these days after taking charge of the party? I challenge the Congress leaders born with golden spoons to compare ‘a five-year-term of Congress and a five-year-term of BJP’, which will reveals the great difference between the efficiency between the two governments. I am sure by now people might have realized the fact that if the Congress party is given a chance to rule the state, definitely it will extend its scams and corrupt practices to state level. It is BJP alone can give a clean and transparent government,” said Narendra Modi.

However, Narendra Modi, keeping in view of the tarnished image of mining-scam-hit ruling BJP government in the state, he encouraged the other leaders of the state wing to take lead in the campaign than taking full charge of it. Modi, who assessed the negative mood of the Karnataka people, prefers to play it low because he too very well knew that if he fails to lead the party to victory in the elections, definitely it will spoil his chances to become Prime Minister of the country. So, he lets the other leaders to speak in the campaign as against his dominating style in the campaigning.

Mega Fans Irritated Puri Jagannadh

Fans and their craziness towards their favorite heroes has been a common feature and the dose of that is much higher in Andhra Pradesh. Among them, the mega fans have a good presence owing to the range of heroes that have come from that family. But this admiration sometimes tends to go crazy.

This was noticed during the audio release function of the film Iddaramayilatho. Apparently, when the turn of the films director Puri Jagannadh came, he took the mike to speak. But he could not start as mega fans did a lot of hungama. It looked like they were in no mood to listen to Puri as they wanted Allu Arjun to speak.

Sensing that, Puri reportedly said Ok, you want Bunny to speak and he gave the mike immediately. But Bunny gave the mike back to Puri and said Sir you speak. Fans should know when to make Hungama and when to give respect. This kind of craziness leaves a negative mark not just on them but also on their star. Grow up guys!
